This week we have been celebrating Coming Out Day, and Viacom International Media Networks has released the Out in 60 campaign, in which more than 50 international stars have participated – from musicians and comedians to athletes and global influencers — all of them shared emotional and inspiring coming out stories.
The campaign features 60-second spots airing on linear, digital and social around the world and across several entertainment channels such as MTV, VH1, Comedy Central and more.
“We know that the process of coming out can be challenging for some, and so we created ‘Out in 60’ to honor the LGBT community and give everyone a platform to share their experience,” has said Georgia Arnold, Senior Vice President, Viacom International Social Responsibility. “We’re thrilled to have a number of well-known personalities on board to inspire and offer a personal connection to those looking to find out more about coming out and the community.”
I was also invited to take part of this amazing initiative. Personally, I love seeing such an empowering campaign coming from Out in 60. Coming out stories are an amazing tool to inspire and support each other and can make a big difference on our fight to promote inclusion and acceptance.
