While spending some time in Spain, I was invited to the 1st International LGBT Tourism meeting in Andalusia.
For those who don’t know, Andalusia it’s a beautiful region in South of Spain where the weather it’s great most of the year. 325 sunny days a year to be exact!
The conference was taking place in Torremolinos, near the city of Málaga. It is a legendary tourist destination since the 50’s and a remarkable gay spot! It was my first time visiting but sounded promising.
It did not disappoint! A great group from all over the World arrived to take part of this first edition. It was a great opportunity to learn more about the region and work in the development of LGTBQ Tourism in Spain… which involves working to promote spaces and destinations that promotes diversity, respect, integration, love and fun. Also, a great opportunity to meet old and new industry friends, do great business and enjoy!
Sometimes we believe that we have to travel far to have fun… but in our same country there’s plenty of amazing and fun places ready to get discovered. It was my first time and certainly not the last. I had so much fun that I can’t to get back.
